TEACHING WORK HISTORY:
I was a teacher at Sands Secondary since 2005 until 2017. For the first 3 years I taught the Senior Alternate program at Sands and instructed a variety of compulsory and elective courses for grades 11 and 12 that led the students in that program towards graduation. Since leaving that teaching position, I carried on as a member of the Sands' staff teaching Social Studies, Physical Education and English.
I have also been the First Aid Attendant at the school.
As of February 17th I am not longer teaching at Sands Secondary as I was offered a job with Surrey School District and since have moved on to teaching in the Central Okanagan for the 2017/2018 school year.
INVOLVEMENT IN EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND COACHING:
As a teacher at Sands, I coached Badminton, Basketball, Ice Hockey and Soccer at Sands. I have been the Student Council teacher sponsor as well for the past 7 years. Last year the Ice Hockey team that both Mr. Campbell and I coached won a BC High School Ice Hockey League championship.
